Letter to Gorham Parsons, 1840 Feb. 18.

The collection consists of a three-page letter from Benjamin Perley Poore, from Coosawattee, Murray County, Georgia on February 18, 1840 to Gorham Parsons of Newburyport, Massachusetts. In the letter Poore discusses plantation activities, including agriculture and slavery, and comments on the status of the Cherokee Indians.
